The Dragonfly Katana from Cold Steel® was developed for sword enthusiasts who are looking for a more robust and contemporary interpretation of classic Japanese katanas. Many of today's replicas are based on the dimensions of earlier warriors, who were rarely taller than 1.70 metres - often too light and too delicate for today's users.

The swords in the Dragonfly series solve this problem with particularly wide, thick and heavy blades. The result is a katana with a strong appearance and excellent performance. The curved 1060 carbon steel blade is hand-polished and ends in a long, iris-bladed tip for powerful, precise cuts.

The handle is covered with genuine black ray skin (samé) and artfully wrapped with an aquamarine-coloured silk cord. Decorations such as the tsuba (blade) with dragonfly motif and the end cap made of black metal emphasise the stylish design.

Two high-quality protective covers are included: a simple transport bag made of cotton and an elaborately crafted decorative bag made of fine silk brocade - ideal for safe storage or for presentation purposes.
