The Dragonfly Wakizashi from Cold Steel® has been specially developed for modern users who are taller and have a stronger physique than the historical samurai of feudal Japan. While many replicas available on the market are rather decorative interpretations of traditional short swords, this wakizashi offers an impressive combination of aesthetics and functionality - ideal for collectors, martial artists and lovers of authentic swords.

The blade, made from robust 1060 carbon steel, is wider, thicker and heavier than classic models, giving it excellent cutting performance. The distinctive, strongly curved shape ends in a long, iris blade-shaped tip - perfect for precise and powerful cuts. The careful hand polishing emphasises the high-quality finish.

The handle is inlaid with black ray skin (samé) and wrapped in an eye-catching aquamarine-coloured silk cord. Fine details such as the black metal tsuba (blade) and end cap decorated with a dragonfly motif give the sword its elegant appearance. Tradition and modernity come together here in perfect harmony.

The scope of delivery includes two high-quality protective covers: a simple cotton bag for safe transport and a decoratively designed silk brocade bag for stylish storage.
