The long-handled Dragonfly Wakizashi is the perfect choice for lovers of traditional Japanese swords, but with a modern twist. While historical wakizashi were originally made for warriors of smaller stature (under 1.70 metres), Cold Steel® offers a powerful alternative for taller and stronger users with the Dragonfly series.

This masterfully crafted Japanese wakizashi features a thicker, wider and heavier blade, ideal for maximum cutting performance and optimal handling. The strongly curved, hand-polished blade made of robust 1060 carbon steel ends in a long, iris blade-shaped tip that guarantees impressive cutting power.

The long handle made of genuine black ray skin (samé) with an eye-catching aquamarine-coloured silk cord wrap ensures a secure grip and an aesthetic appearance. Decorations such as the brass menuki, the elaborately designed blade and the end cap with dragonfly motif emphasise the high level of craftsmanship of this exceptional wakizashi.
