The Gold Lion Katana from Cold Steel® is a masterful interpretation of the traditional samurai sword once carried by warriors to protect themselves, their lord and their home. Combining classic aesthetics with modern craftsmanship, this exceptional katana is characterised by its lightness and exceptional manoeuvrability. A special highlight is the menuki, which represents the Japanese shisa (lion dog) - a traditional symbol of protection that perfectly matches the vigilant and protective nature of this noble sword.

The Damascus steel blade was forged by hand and polished to a mirror finish with the utmost precision. It has a traditional Hamaguri grind, a distinctive Iori Mune (A-shaped blade spine) and a beautiful, wavy hardening line (Hamon), which was created using the classic clay coat hardening process.

The high-quality workmanship is continued in the handle: the tsuka is covered with white ray skin and wrapped in an elegant black silk cord for an optimum grip. The tsuba, fuchi and kashira are made of robust black iron and are decorated with elegant 24-carat gold leaf accents - an impressive combination of strength and beauty.

Whether for cutting exercises (tameshigiri), kata training or as a collector's item - the Gold Lion Katana fulfils the highest demands and combines traditional samurai craftsmanship with modern manufacturing technology.
