These blades earned a fearsome reputation in battle—whether on foot or horseback. This was not only due to the exceptional combat techniques of the Polish nobility but also to the outstanding cutting performance of these weapons.

Renowned custom swordsmith Dave Baker has recreated this historical saber with the utmost precision. The blade, made of high-quality, hardened 1055 carbon steel, is fully sharpened, distally tapered, and strongly curved, making it ideal for powerful strikes. At the same time, it offers great stability for executing precise thrusting attacks effectively.

For optimal hand protection, the saber features a sturdy knuckle guard and a crossguard with elegant brass inlays. A thumb ring facilitates the execution of the so-called moulinet—a technique that enables a smooth, uninterrupted motion of the blade, allowing for lightning-fast parries, cuts, and directional changes.

Visually, the saber impresses with an artfully designed, wire-wrapped grip made of red leather. The matching leather scabbard with steel fittings completes the elegant overall appearance. With open areas for engravings, this sword is also perfect for customization. Large Bidenhänder - Mighty two-handed sword This impressive two-handed sword is one of the largest of its kind and impresses with its enormous reach and cutting power. Despite its imposing size, it is excellently balanced and offers experienced fighters astonishing agility. With a blade length of over a metre and a weight of around 3 kg, this Bidenhänder is a weapon that can have a devastating effect in close combat. Historically, it was used by Landsknechts to hold their own against pikes or other swordsmen - and even against bayonets and rifle butts. It was not for nothing that this weapon was nicknamed the "Gassenhauer", as it could cut a swathe through enemy formations in battle.
