Product information "Suburito, training weapon"
Suburito - Training weapon made of polypropylene (Cold Steel®)
Solid training sword for technique and strength training
The Suburito is a traditional Japanese training weapon developed to improve cutting technique, posture and strength endurance. Unlike a normal bokken, it is heavier, thicker and primarily designed for individual training and swinging exercises. The simulated effort involved in handling this weapon makes it a respectful tool on the way to becoming a better swordsman.
The Cold Steel® Suburito was modelled on a handmade wooden original from the collection of Andrew Demko (5th Dan Aikido), with whom Lynn C. Thompson - President of Cold Steel - also trained personally. The realisation: a more modern version made of indestructible material had to be created.
The result is a training sword made from high-quality polypropylene with a long handle and square tip - absolutely unbreakable, weather-resistant and suitable for years of intensive training. It does not splinter, does not rot and retains its shape - even under heavy use.
The Suburito is visually impressive with its authentic wooden design and engraved Kanji characters, which symbolise the five basic principles of sword fighting:
Circular Motion
Blade Angle (blade angle)
Cutting Trajectory
Distancing (distance to the opponent)
Wringing the Tea Cloth (tension in the cut)
This training sword is ideal for anyone who wants to perfect their technique and strength with a massive, realistic training weapon.
