Emperor O Tanto - Traditional Japanese tanto with exquisite details

The Emperor O Tanto embodies the essence of traditional Japanese swordsmanship and combines high-quality materials with masterful craftsmanship. This weapon is part of the renowned Emperor series, which is characterised by its particularly authentic design. Inspired by classic samurai swords, only traditional materials are used in its manufacture to ensure first-class quality and appearance.

The skilfully designed fittings of the tanto - including the blade (tsuba), the handle ferrule (fuchi) and the end cap of the handle (kashira) - are made of robust nickel silver and are crafted by hand with the utmost precision. The blade ferrule (habaki) is also made of nickel silver, which not only ensures stability but also emphasises the high-quality character. The handle has a traditional ray skin inlay (samé), which is tightly wrapped in black silk cord. An ornate menuki, which serves as a decorative element between the handle wrapping and ray skin, gives the tanto a particularly elegant touch.

High-quality blade made from 1060 carbon steel

The blade of the Emperor O Tanto is made from 1060 carbon steel and tempered to spring hardness to ensure a perfect balance between sharpness and flexibility. Each blade is sharpened and polished by hand, with the fuller (Bo-Hi) providing a particularly shiny surface. This reduces the weight of the weapon and enables improved handling, whether for collectors, martial artists or lovers of Japanese blades.

Elegant design with high-quality wooden sheath

The tanto comes with a black lacquered wooden sheath (saya), which keeps the knife safe and rounds off its elegant appearance. Thanks to the careful workmanship and traditional design, this tanto is not only suitable as a collector's item, but also for practical use in training or demonstrations.
