Product information "Wakizashi Bokken, training sword with optimised grip"
Wakizashi Bokken - training sword made of polypropylene (Cold Steel®)
2015 model with optimised handle in cord wrap look
Centuries ago, the best swordsmen in the world already knew that if you want to excel in sword fighting, you have to train with the right technique, posture and stamina. But the path from beginner to master inevitably involves practising with a realistically sized but safe training sword.
A training sword such as the Wakizashi Bokken from Cold Steel® offers you exactly that: it imitates the length, weight and handling of a real wakizashi without the high risk of injury of sharp blades. Made from virtually unbreakable polypropylene, it is ideal for realistic sparring, technical units, fitness training or kata exercises.
Inspired by the Japanese samurai tradition, this training sword was developed as a modern alternative to the classic wooden bokken. Authentic models made from white oak are expensive, prone to breakage and not weather-resistant - the Wakizashi Bokken offers a durable, resistant solution.
The blade is based on the shape of the legendary Cold Steel® Warrior series swords. It has no sharp edges or points, but is robust enough for intensive training. The handle is modelled on the traditional cord wrap and offers a secure grip - even when wearing gloves.
Highlights:
Robust polypropylene instead of delicate wood
Realistic dimensions and weight distribution
Optimised grip with cord structure
